🚨About Gefährliche Arbeit
Gefährliche Arbeit is a network of queer-feminist FLINTA* theatre professionals, who work behind, on and alongside the stage in a variety of artistic and technical capacities.Â
Gefährliche Arbeit aims to contribute towards the visibility, networking opportunities and empowerment of queer FLINTA* theatre professionals. It offers digital and analogue platforms where job offers and knowledge can be shared, people can offer their expertise, ask questions and look for technical equipment or support.Â
We position ourselves as intersectional queer-feminists and try to counteract conventional gender roles, clichés and isms in our work practices and in the way we interact with each another. We want to use technologies and techniques to subvert and dissolve the cis male and heteronormative dominated structures in our field of work that are found behind, alongside and on the stage, and which constantly reproduce discrimination and exclusion. We stand for a democracy of means, flat and fluid hierarchies, an exchange of knowledge and tools, collective problem-solving and the expansion of knowledge in a collaborative and autodidactic way. We are curious; we look for solutions and are always inventing something new.
Gefährliche Arbeit sees itself as fluid, a process that is constantly evolving and brought to life by its members. We welcome suggestions and constructive criticism that will help us make this space even safer and more inclusive.
FLINTA* stands for Women, Lesbian, Inter, Nonbinary, Trans, Agender and all those, who are discriminated against by the patriarchy, because of their gender identity.
Trans women welcome! Trans men welcome! Cis inter men welcome!
