October 11th / 12th / 13th, 2019 at 8.30 pm, Uferstudios Berlin
In Soft Things, two bodies explore the ostensible parallels of softness and femininity, as they travel through different forms of being. Softness has both a highly symbolic quality and is simultaneously a central dimension of corporeality – be it human or non-human. Associated with plasticity, fragility and delicacy, but also with flexibility and submissiveness, softness is often considered to be an explicitly feminine attribute. In this performance, two bodies go through a hard process in order to become soft things.
"Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them."
